Hopkins Academy put eight goals past Wahconah on Friday, as the newly crowned Pioneer South League girls soccer champions stretched their undefeated season to 10-0-1 with a 8-0 road victory.
Ephie Vissas scored a hat trick, Helen Vissas scored twice and Zoey Wojtowicz, Reese MacGregor and Olivia Earle scored once each. Sadie Cyr supplied three assists, Helen Vissas and Aurora Moynihan supplied two each and Maggie Potter added one. Emmy Schmidt made two saves in goal.
Save for a 0-0 draw with Easthampton on Sept. 23, Hopkins has beaten all of its opponents by multiple goals this season, including seven games where they’ve scored six or more goals. They’ve only allowed one goal all year, to SICS in a 7-1 victory on Sept. 13.
The Golden Hawks take the field next at Ware on Tuesday at 7 p.m.
Easthampton 1, Granby 0 – Liv O’Neil Garvey scored the game’s lone goal on an assist from Gianna Covalli. Easthampton goalie Addie Barr made six saves and Granby goalie Meredith Bartosz made five.
Frontier 3, Holyoke 1 – Skyler Steele recorded two goals and an assist and Maddie Fagan added a goal and an assist of her own to lead the Redhawks to a win. Kyra Lippman scored for Holyoke, off a feed from Leilany Figueroa. Frontier goalie Aylen Shaw made six saves and Jayvah Stuckey made 17 saves for Holyoke.
Greenfield 2, Gateway 0 – Jayliana Rivera made 18 saves for the Gators.
Hampshire 4, Wahconah 0 – Libby Puttick and Shayne Moynahan scored twice each, while Moynahan, Olivia Whitaker, Addie Miklasiewicz and Lila Watkins contributed assists.

Amherst 2, Franklin Tech 1 – Leah Kalman and Eliza Zimmerman scored for Amherst and Zoey Candito dished out an assist. Amherst goalie Elyse Hawkins made one save. 
East Longmeadow 6, Smith Academy 0 –  Madison Didonna-Renner made 16 saves for the Falcons.
Westfield 2, Northampton 1 – Lan Detenber scored for the Blue Devils and Charlotte Johnson-Mersack made 10 saves in goal.
Smith Voc 3, Southwick 1 – The Vikings prevailed 25-20, 25-23, 22-25, 25-18 thanks to eight aces, 12 assists, five digs and nine kills from Heidymar Diaz-Lopez and five aces, four digs and four kills from Irelyn Marcoux.
Holyoke 20, Minnechaug 14 (OT) — The Purple Knights trailed 14-0 at halftime before storming back to grab a thrilling win in overtime on Thursday night.
Holyoke improves to 2-3 on the season, and it scored six points in the third and tied it up with a touchdown and 2-point conversion in the fourth. An overtime score gave the Knights a victory in dramatic fashion.
Girls soccer
Belchertown 1, Westfield 0 — Mia Corrish netted the game’s only goal as the Orioles picked up a big win over the Bombers on Thursday night.
Jill Debarge made seven saves to earn the shutout win for Belchertown.
Northampton 1, Southwick 0 — After the two sides battled to a draw in the first half, Blue Devils forward Olive Little buried a second-half goal that stood as the game-winner.
Anna Oravec only had to make one save in the box thanks to stellar defensive play from Northampton.
Field hockey
Frontier 1, Minnechaug 1 — Kyra Richards’ 14 saves not only helped the Redhawks remain tied with Minnechaug on Thursday, they also gave her 100 saves for her career. It’s an impressive milestone for the senior, who has 46 saves this season.
Harper Modestow put home Frontier’s goal on an assist from Ashley Taylor.
Girls volleyball
South Hadley 3, Holyoke 2 — Eleven aces, 40 digs and seven kills from Grace Matyszewski helped put the Tigers over the top in a five-set thriller against Holyoke on Thursday.
The final score of the fifth set was 15-6 in favor of South Hadley. Vivan Marion put down a team-high 10 kills and added four aces while Milana Stefagolo dished out 35 assists and recorded a trio of kills. South Hadley served out a whopping 22 aces in the win.
