OA Boys Soccer Advances to the Sectional Finals – Country 103.9 WRBI


Oldenburg Academy’s boys soccer team defeated Union County 6-0 on Wednesday, October 9 to advance to the sectional finals.  The Twisters dominated play for most of the game, out-shooting the Patriots 36-6
At 35:52 in the first half, Conner Holder took a pass from Zach Hoff into the goal for a 1-0 early lead.  Holder would then head in a pass from Jacob Hilbert at 34:00 for a 2-0 score.  With 21:20 to go, Hoff put a rebound in to go up 3-0.  Holder would then complete a first-half hat trick with 1:32 to play on a pass from Hilbert.
In the second half, Hoff picked up a hat trick of his own with scores at 36:34 assisted by Hayden Blair and at 31:54 assisted by James Lattire.
The Twisters defense was led by Isaiah Waggoner and Ryan Hautman in goal.
The sectional 44 championship game will be played vs Milan on Saturday, October 12 at 7 pm at Milan.
