Manhattan High girls’ soccer got a split in their last two matches, beating Emporia 6-0 on Tuesday before falling to Bishop Carroll in Wichita on Thursday 1-0.
The Indians (5-3-1) currently sit in fifth place in the west region a little more than midway through the season following the split.
Versus Emporia (4-2), Manhattan High got three goals up in the first half and added another three in the second.
The shutout was the third of the season and the second straight. Keeper Evie Ruliffson recorded two saves in the win.
Emery Ruliffson recorded a hat trick, putting up three goals and an assist.
Lauren Booe, Jada Dibbini and Grace Geisbrecht scored the other three goals in the match. Booe and Geisbrecht also recorded assists.
Chloe Porter also turned in two assists.
Then, on Thursday, the MHS offense was stymied by the Eagles (7-2), leaving Manhattan without a goal for the third time this season.
The Indians continue their four-game road swing on Tuesday when they play at Topeka High (4-3).
