STILLWATER, Okla. — The Enid Pacers couldn’t overcome the deficit they found themselves in on Tuesday, April 9, 2024, against Stillwater.
The Lady Pioneers scored all of their goals in the first half, en route to taking the 4-2 victory over the Pacers at Pioneer Stadium.
With the win, Stillwater improves to 6-4 on the season, while Enid falls to 6-5 on the season.
It was a tale of two halves for the Pacers, as the Lady Pioneers controlled the pace and the ball for most of the first half.
Stillwater midfielder Landri Allee was the star of the show on Tuesday, collecting three goals in the contest. Her stellar play was enough for Stillwater to blow past Enid.
Ava Burnett kept the Pacers in it, scoring two goals and being the bright spot for the Pacers on Tuesday.
Lauren Phillips got the scoring started for Stillwater, firing a shot past Enid goalkeeper Karlie Earhart and making it 1-0.
Burnett tied it up in the 28th minute as the ball bounced around and found her, launching it past Shelby Jenkins and tying the game at 1-1.
After Burnett’s goal, Allee took over the game, scoring three goals in the final nine minutes, including a goal at the end of the half to put Stillwater up 4-1 at the break.
Enid would come out hot to start the second half as Burnett would hit the back of the net for the Pacers in the 44th minute, cutting the deficit to 4-2.
But the Pacers couldn’t get any closer after that as Stillwater tamed Enid for the rest of the second half, securing the victory.
Enid’s next contest will come at 6 p.m. Friday when it takes on Broken Arrow at the Advance Soccer Complex.

Stillwater’s Graham Condley scored three goals in the contest as the Pioneers took the victory over the Plainsmen.
With the win, Stillwater improves to 5-5 on the season, while Enid falls to 6-5 on the season.
Both teams went silent in the first half, with neither team gaining any momentum as the score was 0-0 at the break.
Condley changed that late in the second half, firing a ball into the back of the net and putting Stillwater up 1-0.
Enid’s Jonathan Gomez tied it back at the 60th minute, firing a shot past the goalkeeper and tying the game at 1-1.
Condley would hit the daggers after that, scoring two goals in the final minutes of the contest and securing the victory over the Plainsmen.
Enid heads back home later this week, and it will take on Broken Arrow at 8 p.m. Friday.
