Andres Navas Replaces Nick Perera on U.S. Men's Beach Soccer World Cup Roster | U.S. Soccer Official Website – U.S. Soccer

CHICAGO (Feb. 12, 2024) – U.S. Men’s Beach Soccer National Team midfielder Andres Navas will replace forward Nick Perera on the USA’s 2024 FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup roster.
The replacement comes after Perera suffered a left knee injury during club play last week with the Tacoma Stars of the Major Arena Soccer League.
According to tournament regulations, injured players are able to be replaced up to 24 hours before the team’s first match of the tournament, with approval from the FIFA Medical Committee.
Navas, 26, will play in his first FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup this month. The midfielder has amassed 16 caps and scored five goals since debuting with the USBMNT at the Intercontinental Cup in Dubai in November 2022.
The U.S. Men’s Beach Soccer National Team opens the 2024 FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup on Thursday, Feb. 15 against reigning European Champions Italy (6:30 a.m. ET; FS2, Universo), faces hosts United Arab Emirates on Saturday. Feb. 17 (10:30 a.m. ET; FS2, Telemundo App, Telemundo.com) and finishes the group stage against Egypt on Monday, Feb. 19 (6:30 a.m. ET; FS2, Universo).
