Soccer Game Preview: Berthoud vs. Timnath – MaxPreps

The Berthoud Spartans will head out on the road to challenge the Timnath Cubs at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The pair are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.
After failing to score in their last match, Berthoud made sure to put some goals up on the board against Sterling on Thursday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Tigers a 4-0 shutout. Considering Berthoud’s offense had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.
Meanwhile, Timnath put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. Everything went their way against Wellington as Timnath made off with an 11-1 victory. Fans of Timnath have seen this all before: every one of the games they’ve played this season has ended in a blowout.
Berthoud’s win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 1-3-1. As for Timnath, their victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-0.
Berthoud came up short against Timnath in their previous matchup back in April of 2023, falling 2-0. Can Berthoud avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We’ll find out soon enough.
