Former Super Eagles captain Sylvanus Okpala has insisted that the new foreign coach to be appointed for the national team must qualify for the 2026 World Cup.
Nigeria face a most daunting task to qualify for the World Cup as they are second bottom in Group C with three points from four matches.
“Anybody who is appointed for the Super Eagles must qualify us to the World Cup,” maintained ‘Quicksilver’ Okpala, who was assistant coach when Nigeria won the 2013 AFCON.
“The new coach will come to qualify us to the World Cup, there will be no excuses.
“If such a coach doesn’t, then he has failed.
“If not they should have left the person who started (the qualifying tournament).”
Okpala added: “It will be a disaster if we again fail to qualify for the World Cup, we cannot afford not to be at the World Cup because there will be crisis.”

Nigeria are not serious about the searching for the coach because by now ,we supposed to get a coach for the eagles because it’s must not remaining 2 weeks for the compilation before appointment a new coach, that what happened to George Finidi. The man can’t perform magic.
It’s has never happened before even in the time of Clement westeroof.
