Bumrah's emotional video captures India's T20 World Cup triumph and celebrations – Crictoday

Star Indian fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah posted an emotive video showcasing highlights from India‘s triumphant T20 World Cup celebrations in Mumbai. The footage documented the team’s celebratory bus parade, which began at Marine Drive and concluded with a felicitation ceremony at the iconic Wankhede Stadium.
A wave supporters greeted the Men in Blue as they entered Wankhede Stadium, and thousands of jubilant fans swarmed Marine Drive, causing an electrifying atmosphere inside. In a video that Bumrah uploaded, he can be seen triumphantly carrying the trophy on a victory lap, to the loud cheers of the ardent Wankhede crowd. In the video’s caption, Bumrah wrote, “I am so thankful for the last few days. I have been living a dream and it has filled me with happiness and gratitude.”
In a heartwarming moment, Virat Kohli‘s voiceover graced the video, affectionately dubbing his teammate Jasprit Bumrah a ‘national treasure.’ Later, during the felicitation ceremony, It was asked if Kohli would accept the official status of Bumrah as the eighth wonder of the world and a national treasure.

Kohli lavished praise on Bumrah, India’s standout performer of the tournament, underscoring his evident admiration for the bowler. Bumrah’s impressive tally of 15 wickets played a pivotal role in securing India‘s first ICC tournament victory in over a decade.
“He’s a once-in-a-generation talent and we’re thrilled to have him playing for us. We want him to decide his own schedule so he can continue performing at the highest level for as long as possible,” commented Kohli.
