In a video that Bumrah uploaded, he can be seen triumphantly carrying the trophy on a victory lap, to the loud cheers of the ardent Wankhede crowd. In the video’s caption, Bumrah wrote, “I am so thankful for the last few days. I have been living a dream and it has filled me with happiness and gratitude.”
In a heartwarming moment, Virat Kohli‘s voiceover graced the video, affectionately dubbing his teammate Jasprit Bumrah a ‘national treasure.’ Later, during the felicitation ceremony, It was asked if Kohli would accept the official status of Bumrah as the eighth wonder of the world and a national treasure.

Kohli lavished praise on Bumrah, India’s standout performer of the tournament, underscoring his evident admiration for the bowler. Bumrah’s impressive tally of 15 wickets played a pivotal role in securing India‘s first ICC tournament victory in over a decade.
