The Ghana Football Association (GFA) will seek clarification from FIFA regarding the potential conflict of interest involving Kwasi Appiah in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.

Ghana is set to face Sudan in the qualification series, a team managed by Appiah, who also serves as an Executive Council Member of the GFA.

Although no GFA statutes prevent him from holding positions elsewhere, concerns have been raised about his dual role and the possible implications of working for two different associations in the same competition.

“Kwasi Appiah was duly elected into office. It is within his rights to accept any job opportunity that comes his way,” said Henry Asante Twum, Communication Director of the Ghana FA, in an exclusive interview with JoySports.

“It is an issue of governance, determining what is right and what is not. We will consult FIFA’s governance on the matter and act according to their guidance.”

Ghana will also face Angola and Niger in Group F of the qualifiers, which are expected to begin in September this year.
