Husker football’s assistant coach Evan Cooper resigned due to “personal reasons.”
A Nebraska spokesperson confirmed the news on Friday.
Cooper was the secondary coach and defensive pass game coordinator and was contracted through the end of the 2024 season, making $670,000.

The search is now underway for his replacement, less than two months from Nebraska’s season opener on Aug. 31.
He had previously played at Temple when Husker head coach Matt Rhule was the assistant coach.
This season would have been his 12th season serving on Rhule’s coaching staff.
He previously served with Rhule for the Carolina Panthers, Baylor, and Temple.
