Bafana Bafana next matches: When & where? – Afrik-Foot

Are you looking for info on South Africa’s next match or some of the recent fixtures of the team? We’ve got you covered in this article.
Hugo Broos-led Bafana Bafana have been steadily rising in the last couple of months across all competitions.
After missing out on the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations, Afcon, and the 2022 Fifa World Cup, the Southern Africa nation is slowly getting back to the top. In January, they defied the odds to win bronze in the 2023 Afcon held in Ivory Coast.
Bafana are currently joint top in Group C of the 2026 Fifa World Cup qualifiers, having collected seven points from the four games they have played.
Most leagues are not in action after the conclusion of the 2023/24 season, and no notable international matches are going on, especially in Africa.
On Thursday, July 4, the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations Qualifiers draw was conducted in Johannesburg, South Africa. Bafana Bafana were placed in Group K alongside Uganda, Congo, and South Sudan.
Caf confirmed the qualifiers will be played in three months – September, October, and November, to pave the way for other engagements. Bafana’s first game in the competition will be played in September.
The full fixture and schedule have not been shared by the organizers, but once it is done, we will share it.
However, the Fifa World Cup qualifiers resume on March 17, 2025, where South Africa will host Lesotho before playing Benin away after seven days.

Some top players like Lebo Mothiba, Evidence Makgopa, Grant Kekana and later Percy Tau either missed the last two games or played a partial role owing to their injuries.
Some like Khuliso Mudau and Teboho Mokoena had injuries while Lyle Foster made a return after controversially missing the 2023 Afcon.
It was a theme of joy for Orlando Pirates youngster Relebohile Mofokeng who made his debut after a good season with his club in Mzansi.
Broos will most probably build around those players in the forthcoming matches.
Willis Sob is an experienced journalist who has been in the game since 2009, covering major assignments around the continent.
His hunger for African football is unmatched, always getting the best angles and facts to feed the fans and quench their thirst.
