Cameras were rolling when the ground opened up and swallowed part of a soccer field in Illinois.
Aerial footage of the scene, which was provided by KMOV, shows the massive hole that was left behind on the athletic field in Alton, Illinois, which is around 22 miles outside of St. Louis, Missouri.
The sinkhole opened up on Wednesday, June 26, and as a video shows, it even swallowed a stadium light post on the property.
Crews believe an underground mine collapsed, resulting in the sinkhole forming at Gordon Moore City Park.
Parks and Recreation officials in Alton estimate that the hole is around 100 feet wide and about 30 feet deep.
The park is closed while crews assess the damage and make a plan of how to repair the field.
No injuries were reported.
