There is everything still to play for in Group E, with all four teams locked on the same number of points heading into the final matchday. Romania’s 3-0 win against Ukraine seemed to have them in the driving seat but they have since been pegged back and must find the same attacking prowess from their opener, while Slovakia are in with a chance themselves after shocking Belgium. There’s goals in this game for both sides, and truly anything can (and so far has) happened in Group E. Yet, Belgium should eventually make good on their glutton of chances in front of goal, which Ukraine do concede at a significant rate. Ukraine have shown a propensity to crop up in front of goal late in games too, both in Euro qualifying and this tournament as well.

Portugal, who have already qualified, have been exceptional in competitive matches since the 2022 World Cup ended, but have been equally vulnerable in games where the outcome is meaningless for them, including recent friendly defeats to Slovenia and Croatia, plus wins where they conceded twice to both Sweden and Finland. Georgia have a shot to make something happen here and becoming this tournament’s darling minnow in the Round of 16.

The Turks’ opening win against Georgia could be enough to see them through as one of the four best third-placed sides, but Vincenzo Montella’s side will want to be more sure about the qualification and aim to go through as runners-up. Czechia are expected to be without the services of star man Patrik Schick, who sustained a calf injury in the draw with Georgia, which could hamper them.
