Emporia State football releases 2024 schedule – WIBW

EMPORIA, Kan. (WIBW) – College football is knocking on the door in a few short months and the Hornets have their opponents lined up.
For the first time in school history they will play a full 11 game schedule that includes a bye week. They will have six total home games with the first game being the Turnpike Tussle against Washburn at Emporia on Aug. 29 at 7:00 p.m.
According to ESU Athletics, this is the first Turnpike Tussle under the lights since 1998. This will also be the first Week 0 game for the Hornets.

September 14 at Pittsburg State 7:00 p.m.
September 21 vs. Missouri Western 1:00 p.m.
September 28 at Northwest Missouri 1:30 p.m.
October 5 vs. Northeastern State 2:00 p.m.
October 12at Missouri Southern 1:00 p.m.
October 19- Bye Week  
October 26 at Neb.-Kearney 2:00 p.m.
November 2 vs. Fort Hays State 1:00 p.m.
November 9 vs. Central Missouri 1:00 p.m.
November 16 at Central Oklahoma 1:00 p.m.
November 23 NCAA Playoffs First Round  
November 30 NCAA Playoffs Second Round   
NCAA Division II Bowl Games  
December 7 NCAA Playoffs Regional Championships  
December 14 NCAA Playoffs National Semifinals
December 21 NCAA National Championship Game
The Hornets are 18-6 over the last two seasons, the second-best record in the MIAA over that time.
