Matheus Cunha of Wolverhampton Wanderers celebrates scoring his team’s first goal during the Premier … [+]
Matheus Cunha is propelling himself into 2025 in the finest of form. The Brazilian can play pretty much anywhere in the forward line or attacking midfield role and in 2024 he was able to excel in a Wolverhampton side that went on a dreadfully poor run.
Cunha is 25, but he is really finding his feet in the Premier League now. He has scored 10 goals and managed four assists in 19 Premier League games for Wolves in 2024/25 and as the team finally turns their form around perhaps those numbers will only get better and better.
Cunha is a physical presence, a threat in front of goal and a player with bags of skill and creativity. If he continues this form in 2025 a huge move could await in the summer.
Nico Paz is the cultured attacking midfield player currently pulling the strings for Como 1907 in Italy. The ‘number 10’ has a wand of a left foot and despite having only 3 goals and 3 assists in 17 games so far, he is a key man for the lower-table team at just 20 years of age.
Paz has an unbelievable ability to get on the ball and make things happen in games. Create something out of nothing, find a pass or a shot where most players wouldn’t. So much so that he has managed to break into the Argentina international set-up and will get more chances to shine for club and country in 2025.
Paz plays with a panache that any coach or spectator dreams of seeing, he has a quality in his left boot not disimilar to that of his countryman Paulo Dybala, but perhaps he is more physical, more menacing and less injury prone. In which case a highly successful career seems inevitable for this talent.

Pep Guardiola loves Savinho, so what more needs to be said? For all the money in the world Pep seems to have found his new favourite winger in the shape of the 20 year-old Brazilian who previously shone at Girona F.C and, in the last few games in particular, has shown he is already ready to make an impact on the Premier League stage.
We know things can only get better for Manchester City as 2025 begins, and it looks like the right winger who came through the ranks at Atlético Mineiro has hit form just at the right time and might be a permanent fixture in Pep’s starting XI. With 11 caps and one goal for Brazil already, we can expect to see more of Savinho for his national team too.

Estévão Willian is one of the most talked about young players in world soccer, and with very good reason. The subject of a pending move to Premier League giants Chelsea, this Brazilian winger was nicknamed Messinho from an early age because coaches said that his playing style mimicked that of the legendary Argentinian forward.
Estévão stole the headlines this year for putting up goals and assist numbers in the Brazilian league similar to those of Neymar when he was also 17 and still playing in his home country. The dynamic and flamboyant young footballer will play the club World Cup with Palmeiras in the summer before his big Chelsea move, and it could be the perfect stage from which he can shine in 2025. He has also managed to make it into the Brazil team already. This kid is the future and he still hasn’t turned 18.

In 2025 Thiago Almada will start a new chapter as he signs for Lyon in the French league, he will leave his current club Botafogo as a legend after helping the club from Rio de Janeiro to a league and Copa Libertadores double in 2024.
The attacker excels in a number 10 role but can also shine from the left side cutting into the middle of the pitch to cause all sorts of problems for opposition defences. He is small but diminutive and is a nuisance in and around the box.
Almada previously impressed for Atlanta in the MLS and was part of the Argentina squad that won the World Cup in 2022. Now, after an excellent coming of age season in Brazil, it is time to see if this 23 year-old can crack one of Europe’s top leagues and make an impact for Lyon in the 2025 Europa League too.
