PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Philadelphia's 2026 World Cup Fan Fest will be held at Lemon Hill in Fairmount Park.
Philadelphia Soccer 2026 Host City Executive Meg Kane says Lemon Hill was chosen to complement the 250th anniversary events that are certain to take place along the Parkway and around Independence Hall.
In late spring of 2026, she says power, water service and lighting will be assembled for the jumbotrons and food concessions for the thousands who will gather to watch the World Cup matches. But she says the host committee also has an eye toward leaving a legacy.

Kane says public input will be sought for what park improvements should be built after 2026.
"It could be a soccer pitch. It could be an improved baseball field. It could be a new playground. It could be any number of things,” she said.
Kane says the goal is to have a Legacy Park open and ready for use by summer 2027.
