2024 Oregon football schedule: When is Oregon Ducks vs. UCLA? – Autzen Zoo

The Oregon Ducks weren’t the only team to ditch the Pac-12 for greener pastures in the Big Ten. And as it turns out, Dan Lanning and the Oregon football team will get the chance to face off against a familiar face from the Pac-12 to start conference play this season.
The 2024 Oregon football schedule features an intriguing matchup as the Oregon Ducks travel to face the UCLA Bruins at the iconic Rose Bowl down in Pasadena, California. The fourth game of the 2024 Oregon football season (and the first conference game on the 2024 Oregon Ducks schedule) is a reunion of old Pac-12 teams now playing in a new conference.
And that’s kinda fun, to be completely honest.
While the Ducks are pretty familiar with UCLA from the good ole days back in the Pac-12, there’s a decent bit about the Bruins that has changed from last season to this season. Former Oregon football coach Chip Kelly who took the UCLA job and became UCLA football coach Chip Kelly is now former UCLA football coach Chip Kelly.
Which, you know, at least the Ducks won’t have to deal with his offense at UCLA as he moved elsewhere (he hopped over to a different Big Ten team and we’ll talk about that here in a bit).
On top of that, Oregon was able to pluck Dante Moore away from the Bruins and brought him up to Eugene. So, a fair bit about the UCLA football team from last season will look different heading into this season.
This game should be pretty intriguing from a storyline standpoint. It remains to be seen just how good the UCLA Bruins will be this year, but the Ducks are a national title contender. And the main thing that these two programs have in common is that this game between them will serve as something of a nostalgic reunion of former Pac-12 members now playing within the confines of a different conference. Both UCLA and Oregon are Big Ten teams now.
And that is interesting. It’s cool to see something that resembles regionality preserved with the new landscape that college football now exists within. So, I’m very much so looking forward to this part of the 2024 Oregon Ducks football schedule.
