Four teams remain in the 2024 Copa América tournament, and the semifinals begin with a rematch of the competition’s opening match.
Argentina will face Canada once again after the two Group A members began the tournament with their second ever international meeting. In their first meeting, the 2022 World Cup champions came away with the 2-0 victory on their way to winning the group, but both teams advanced out of the group stage and reached the semis with penalty kick wins.
Canada, led by American head coach Jesse Marsch, have become one of the biggest stories of the tournament by making it this far. The nation hasn’t won a trophy in international competitions since the 2000 CONCACAF Gold Cup.
