17-year-old Valley High School student shot during football game dies from injuries – WKYT


LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) – A 17-year-old Valley High School student has died at the hospital, nine days after he was shot at a Pleasure Ridge High School football game. Louisville Metro police said the teen died from his injuries during the early hours of Tuesday, Oct. 8.
The teen was found in the PRP parking lot with multiple gunshot wounds. He was taken to the hospital with serious injuries. A family member of the victim said his leg was amputated while in the hospital.
Police said a second shooting victim arrived at St. Mary and Elizabeth Hospital, but is expected to survive. The LMPD Homicide Unit is still investigating the shooting and no arrests have been made at this time.
Investigators are asking residents in the area to check their home video systems for any suspicious persons. Police said they believe persons involved in this shooting fled the area through the residential area near PRP.
