November 22- FIFA has unveiled a second wave of potential Team Base Camps for the 2026 World Cup, offering an expanded selection of “homes away from home” for the 48 participating teams.
These facilities will serve as training, preparation, and rest hubs during the group stage of the tournament.
The latest additions open up 26 new options across the United States, including cities like Boise, Colorado Springs, Columbus, Greensboro, Orlando, Tampa, and Tucson.
Mexico has also contributed a new site in Pachuca. Key host cities, including Houston and New York/New Jersey, have further bolstered their offerings, reflecting the tournament’s unprecedented scale and diversity.
The expanded number of sites provides teams with more flexibility to align their logistical and training needs with their group stage locations.
FIFA plans to further expand the list throughout 2025, with additional options to be included across all three host nations.
Final selections will be made following the World Cup Final Draw, expected in December 2025, which will define the geographic zones for group matches.
